Meet your Student Ambassador!
The Student Ambassador is a student who has attended a FULL ACCESS Student Summit previously. Each Summit has a Student Ambassador in attendance for the purpose of new attendees to have “one of their own” with experience whom they can ask questions of, learn from and add to their network.
Meet Rebekah, your Student Ambassador for the 2014 FULL ACCESS Student Summit. Rebekah is an alumni of the Student Summit held last spring in Fort Worth, TX.
Rebekah is a senior at Texas Christian University in her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. When she isn’t cheering on her beloved Horned Frogs or spending time with her sorority sisters, she dedicates most of her time to studying Child Development and Psychology. Her plan is to graduate and become a Certified Child Life Specialist in a children’s hospital, and use her passion for advocacy and helping people to bring joy to sick children and their families. Although feverishly taking notes about attachment theory or various intervention models takes a lot of time, Rebekah also enjoys eating the best tacos Fort Worth has to offer with her boyfriend, watching Netflix, or online shopping. Sometimes, if she is really feeling adventurous, she’ll do all three at the same time.
The COSD Student Ambassador program would not be possible without the generous contributions made by the Terry D. Quammen Memorial Fund. Terry was a longtime advocate of furthering employment efforts for persons with disabilities. In honor of his memory, the Quammen Family proudly supports COSD’s efforts to provide equal opportunity and access to college students with disabilities.
